The team consisted of 17 members from Bangalore and 13 members from Chelekere (Chitradurga Dist). They visited the most affected areas of Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh and Raichur District in Karnataka. They went in two lorries with rice, oil, salt, cloth, blankets, towels, mosquito coils etc to help the affected people, and distributed them personally. These things were bought with the money donated by the yoga students and teachers.
It is considered as Andhra Pradesh's worst-in-a-century floods claiming several lives and crores of loss.
Many of these members had fondly remembered the special time they had spent in Krishna River during their tour in April-May. The yoga team returned on the evening of 12th October with wounded hearts seeing the situation of the affected areas.
