International Yoga Day


Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. Maharishi Patanjali is the ‘Father of Yoga’ and the founder of Yoga philosophy. 21st June is declared as International Yoga Day by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014.

The first International Yoga Day is being celebrated in Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the day will be observed in over 251 cities in 191 countries across the world.

37,000 people attended the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2015 at Delhi, India.

Indian government will release postage stamps to commemorate the occasion.
