Kids' visit to the Bank

As a part of the overall personality development of the Yoga children, organized by the Pathanjali Yoga Shiskhana Samithi (Regd) Karnataka, they were taken to one of the Nationalised Banks near their place. The children were accompanied by their main Yoga Master and four other yoga teachers along with the President of the Branch.

The children were highly enthusiastic about their visit to the Bank. The Sr. Manager at the Canara Bank was kind enough to explain to them how a Bank functions and its role in the society for financial purpose, in simple words. Interestingly they noted down the points and asked several questions which came up in their young minds.

The older children even enquired about the possibilities of getting Bank loans for their higher studies.

Surprisingly, at the end of his talk, most of the children had started pondering over an idea of saving their pocket money wisely by starting a saving bank account as early as possible.

The children were beyond words to express their gratitude for providing them such an informative visit, and opening their mind into a new world.

Mathru Bojan for Yoga students

For Mathru Bojan, all the Yoga students of the branch, prepare some food which can be served to other members in the form of a small ball. No plate is given.Usually the food is like sweet pongal, kara pongal, puliyogere, bisibele bath, curd rice, payasam etc, in a semi-solid consistency, so that it can easily be taken with the hand and made a ball, which is served to all the members with lots of joy and affection. The concept of the Mathru Bojan is that when we were young how our mothers used to give us food so lovingly telling amusing stories and asking us to see the moon. Enjoying that affection the kid takes food without a fuss. Hence, Mathru Bojan is organized in all the branches once in a way with the purpose of uniting all the yoga students and their families together, just like a single family.

Sri Ramaswamy visits each branch of this Samithi and makes sure they are working satisfactorily.

These are some of the photos during one such visit to one of the branches in Bangalore. When he visits the Yoga branch, he demonstrates the yoga asanas to the students and corrects them, if he finds any one doing it "not-so-right-way".

His visit is usually followed by "Chandini"programme and "Mathru Bhojan".
